2.8 Upcycle guitar

Hey guys! Welcome back! So I was unable to get a wooden wire spool, so I looked on Pinterest and decided to upcycle a guitar. I had a broken guitar at home that I wouldn’t use so I thought this project was perfect! I first started by gluing the back back into place which is nothing that I wasn’t use to doing. I used some heavy duty wood glue and some clamps.

After I let the glue dry, I cut out the front of the guitar out with a saw. This was challenging because I had to be careful to not push the saw through the back side.

After I got the front off, I had to sand the inside really well because it was not very smooth at all. Then I painted the edges black.

I know I’m not the best taper, and I probably should have used painters tape where I didn’t want the paint to go, but I didn’t, so I will have to sand it if I don’t like it in the future.
Now, I know this might not seem cool, but imagine this.. Imagine there being succulents on shelves in it and different plants. This was my inspiration:

I’m excited to hang this up on my wall and have different plants in it. I’d say, even though I didn’t upcycle a wire spool, this week was a success!
